Worship: Time in His Presence...

Worship doesn't always refer to musical notes blown from heaven. People constantly believe that worship is about singing or playing an instrument, but worship is more than music more than beautiful voices. Worship is reverent honor to God, which means simply praising His name. Worship is often defined as music, but music is only ONE way of worship. Proclaiming God's victories and power is a way of worship. Yes, it's nice when we lift our hands during Sunday worship, but do we do the same when trials come? We need to praise Him in the storm as well, we need to have intimate time during the day to simply acknowledge His name.

As I write this I am also speaking to myself. We constantly forget to glorify Him, and we tend to cry out for help, comfort, but what about recognizing He is our provider, our rock? He is a God of mercy, a powerful God, and everlasting God. Why don't we remind Him of his virtues? Just like we feel special/important when people compliment us, He needs our voices to tell him the same. Worship is what He least deserves. He deserves devoted lives that live to worship Him day and night...
